One-day Guest at "Carbon Neutral and Future City Focus Day" event
Aug 22, 2022 Carbon Baseline

On September 24th, Carbon Baseline was invited to the "Carbon Neutral and Future Cities Focus Day", organized by Tesla, Plug and Play (PNP) and the Intelligent New Economy Industry Alliance (INEA). The event was held at Terminus AI PARK and brought together leading companies from technology, investment, industry, leaders and senior experts in the field of sustainable development, to discuss the opportunities and low-carbon development paths for future cities under the "dual carbon" target.

Dr. Rui Shan, co-founder and CTO of Carbon Baseline, started his carbon trading career as early as 2014. After Master degree, Dr. Shan possesses Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the U.S. and provided carbon neutral and energy consulting to many top clients, such as the California government, the U.S. Department of Energy, and many European and American companies. Haixiao Weng, co-founder and CTO of Carbon Baseline, has background in both finance and consulting. Weng explains that the rapidly rising carbon neutrality is characterized by strong supervision, a global mutual trust system and the concept of underlying asset, hence a commodity-like market. The combined knowledge of the two founders has allowed them to gain a better understanding of the carbon neutrality and to accurately assess the pricing of related products and make risk predictions.

Currently, Carbon Baseline provides customized and standardized solutions for clients in three main categories: government/industrial parks, enterprises and financial institutions. Carbon Baseline can provide professional advice through a synergy of consulting and software, be it a city's emission reduction plan, an industrial park's carbon neutrality plan, or a company's carbon neutrality roadmap.

Carbon neutrality, a track with a high technical threshold and relatively late start, cannot satisfy customer merely by superficial research and theory, thus is difficult to maintain a high client-affinity. To this regard, Carbon Baseline not only focuses on inner academic research and scientific research transformation, but also cooperates with well-known universities and research institutions such as Duke University, Stanford University, Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, etc. Through in-depth cooperation in hydrogen energy industry chain, global emission reduction technology assessment and green finance research, Carbon Baseline possesses a top-tier technological advantage, for it being the first movers, and for its scientific research strength has been effectively accelerated.

Carbon Baseline was established in 2021 with global headquarters located in Shanghai, China. The team is committed to helping our clients solve their most urgent challenges encountered along the path of realizing sustainability goals. With our global vision and industry experience, we provide our clients with a full life-cycle solution from climate change strategy planning to implementation.
